Distinguish the reception address from the vehicle stop
Visit Bath lists city-centre coach drop-off points including Terrace Walk and North Parade. These are managed stopping locations, not reserved spaces for individual hotels. They should not be promised as your collection point until the route, vehicle and current arrangements have been checked.
Ask reception how groups normally arrive and whether your proposed vehicle can reach the entrance. Where a nearby meeting point is necessary, decide who will meet the vehicle, how bags will be handled and whether the route is practical for every guest. A map pin alone cannot resolve those details.

Use a ready-to-board time for check-out
For departure, set a group meeting time before the vehicle’s agreed loading slot. Guests should have completed check-out and brought their luggage to the agreed place. This is especially useful when several rooms or separate bookings are travelling together.
Tell us if reception plans to hold bags after check-out or if the group will be away from the hotel before departure. A later collection from an attraction is a different stop and may require a separate luggage plan. Put both the passenger location and the baggage location into the enquiry.
Choose capacity with the final approach in mind
A smaller group may suit an MPV or minibus, while a larger hotel party can request a coach. The right proposal must account for bags, boarding needs and the agreed access point. Do not split a group between vehicles solely to match a seat number without considering who travels together and how luggage is distributed.
For a hotel-to-hotel move, provide both properties’ arrival instructions. If guests are travelling onwards by rail or air, include the connection details and any accessibility assistance already arranged. Travel times and loading arrangements should be reviewed for your date, rather than relying on a fixed city-centre journey-time promise.
What to include in your enquiry
- Exact city-centre hotel and agreed vehicle meeting point
- A ready-to-board time, not only room check-out time
- Suitcases and any separate stored luggage
- Guests needing a shorter walk or boarding assistance
- The next hotel, station or airport connection
Frequently asked questions
Can we reserve Terrace Walk for our hotel group?
Do not assume a public coach bay can be reserved through a transport enquiry. The collection location must be agreed against the applicable access and stopping arrangements.
What if the coach cannot reach the hotel door?
A suitable alternative meeting point must be agreed. Tell us about luggage and walking requirements early so the proposal can be assessed against the needs of the whole group.
Can you collect our bags before collecting the passengers?
You can request a separate luggage stop, but it must be described in advance. Include who will hand over the bags, where the passengers will be, and the intended timing.
Should we book a collection at the room check-out time?
Use a time when the group can be ready to board with its bags. Room check-out, reception queues and assembling the group may need to happen earlier.
